UFC 280 – Date, Time, Fight Card, Live stream, TV Channel, and Where to Buy Tickets!

The UFC 280 is hosted by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, a mixed martial arts event that will take place on 22nd October 2022. The location of this event is the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

About The Events

Whenever you search for the UFC 280 championship, you will come across one of the most talked about duels yet to happen, between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev. Charles ‘do Bronx’ Oliveira is a former title holder, and Islam Makhachev is a rising star in the MMA games. They will be fighting for the vacant UFC Lightweight Championship. Oliveira, 32, has won the empty UFC lightweight title within the second technical knockout in May 2021 over Michael Chandler at the UFC 262.

Oliveira is heading to regain the UFC Lightweight Championship, which he lost due to the rising star Islam Makhachev. Oliveira is an outright winner by 5 out of 4, and Makhachev is 4 out of 7. Everyone is on the edge of their seats for this bout because two men with high training and experience will be on the ground, and they can more than hold their trading and standing. It depends on whether Makhachev can compete with the BJJ black belt when the bout gets to the deck. Makhachev has a restless wrestling ability, and it will be exciting to watch if Oliveira can cope with that.

There has been talking about the return of the Bantamweight champion. The UFC’s Bantamweight division consists of between 126 to 135 pounds competitor groups. Besides the headliner, there is another fight about to take place between the current champion Aljamain ‘Funk Master’ Sterling and the previous bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw. Previously, Dillashaw was almost unbeatable in the bantamweight bracket before he got framed for doping by the USADA. With his return to the Octagon, viewers and all the bantamweights have been eager to see if he can still claim the crown.

Another spectacular matchup will occur between the top contender Petr ‘No Mercy’ Yahn and the ever so flamboyant Sean ‘Sugar’ O’Malley. A lightweight between Mateusz Gamrot and Beneil Dariush will also be happening. A piece of very interesting and exciting news is that Dariush has informed MMA Fighting that he will also be servicing as a replacement for the Makhachev and Oliveira fight in case anything goes wrong. So, if something is off during the pre-fight screening or weigh-ins, we might be watching a different contest for the top card title contender.

As for the women’s flyweight division, there is an upcoming match between the number one contender Katlyn Chookagian and Manon Fiorot. Moreover, across the most significant divisions of UFC, there are going to be held five more bouts.

There were a few more fights in the series to take place, but UFC has declared a piece of news that they have decided to drop as many as three fighters from the different cards due to various issues. Fighters such as Slim Trabelsi, Parker Porter, and Jamie Mullarkey are among the three dropped fighters. Before Slim Trabelsi was dropped due to contract issues, he was about to replace Hamdy Abdelwahab for his bout with Parker Porter.

When the uncertainty of an opponent arose, Parker’s representatives forced him to reschedule his fight to avoid losses entirely. As for Jimmy Mullarkey has faced some unspecified injuries for which he had to pull out of his match with Magomed Mustafaev. So far, there is no specification if Mustafaev will have any replacements for his scheduled bout.
